The Edge Pantry

The food pantry to offer assistance for those experience uncertain seasons in life. The pantry also shares food from gardens and orchards as a way appreciation and a sense of belonging.

In the old ways (The Old Testament-Leviticus) God’s people who called create space for others. Leave room for food, time, and our lives for those who are disconnected or alone. Beyond gathering food for those who are in need, we grow food to share with others as a testimony of God’s grace and love.

What Would you Serve at Your Table?

  • A pantry should reflect what you eat and what food you prepare. This is why we suggest you obtain items from the store when you pick up groceries.

  • Making healthy decisions about food is always is important to this church, and so we urge the best as we give to others.

  • Fresh food is important but is difficult to store and manage. Our pantry team will purchase the fresh items as needed, which is why appreciate donations to The Edge Pantry. You can give online or send a check to the Wenatchee SDA Church (The Edge) at our address Wenatchee Adventist Church 508 N. Western Avenue Wenatchee, WA 98801

Leave Room

If you grow food or flowers in your garden and you want to share with others, we will be available to share, we will contact the church and see how it works.

If you need some help constructing your garden with plants or flowers let us know and learn how we can cooperate with you.

This year we will be growing a garden at Avamere in Wenatchee (Independent & Assisted Living Home). This winter we are preparing for the spring to launch a new garden. We will cooperate with the Garden Club at Avamere to share good food, beauty, and kindness to this community. If you want to live on the edge, join our outreach team now by contact us office@wenatcheeadventist.org .

How to Live on The Edge?

When you get groceries for your home get extra for The Edge. At the church there is cart dedicated for items to share with others. Items that are helpful are:

More Hands Make Light Work!

If you are interested in getting involved with The Edge Pantry Ministry, you will need to prepare your hands (mostly your mind) by having food handlers license, that is easily obtained online at  www.foodworkercard.wa.gov

Some recipients of our pantry will struggle for time, money, and the energy cook a balanced meal for themselves or their family. Large items of commodities (beans, rice, etc…) will need to be re-packaged in smaller amounts so we will need volunteers to re-package make it easier to prepare meals. If you want to volunteer, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
